Things to always have when you board a plane

The following post will explain why, but I now know to always have the following items on my body when I board an airplane, even if it's supposedly for less than a day:

Pictures in no particular order:

Gilligan & OMalley® Womens Low Rise Hipsetr - Cocha Mocha
1. My glasses2. Extra contact lenses (I had just enough)3. Phone charger/car charger/headphones for driving (I happened to have with me)4. Underwear (target run!)5. Deodorant6. Toothbrush 7. Arizona Green Tea powder packets (better than crystal light, and I had with me, woot!)8. Computer, so you don't fall off the blogging bandwagon (maybe this explains my short hiatus over the weekend)9. A great attitude, which I really did have, even amongst cargo vans!

25 thing - Couples

I remember being in middle and high school and filling out these e-mail survey things with all your friends. One summer my friend Heather and I made one up for camp and there were stereotype questions for our camp friends such as who was most _____ and we got in trouble! I still find it fun to fill them out once in a while, and just encountered this couples one. So here goes!
♥ What are your middle names?
Kesley and Avigail

♥ How long have you been together?

Long enough :-)

♥ How long did you know each other before you started dating
We met online, so no our first date was when we met

♥ Who asked who out?
I "winked" at Charlie because my profile was hidden in a different city so I wouldn't get overwhelmed. But he immediately threw away his "wait 4 days to respond" rule (or whatever it is) and responded that day and he organized an AMAZING first date a few days later.
♥ Whose siblings do/ did you see the most?
None, they are all over
♥ Do you have any children together?
Just Odge - he and Charlie watch TV together

♥ What about pets?
Again, Odge

♥ Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
For me, it's that when you start sharing responsibility, everything becomes a "honey did you feed the dog" "sweety did you call the house inspector" and we try to make sure our relationship doesn't turn into just that
♥ Did you go to the same school?
Nope
♥ Are you from the same home town?
Nope!
♥ Who is more sensitive?
Always the girl

♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple?
The sushi and firehouse subs
♥ Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
For now Hawaii, but we plan on going to lots of other places in the near future
♥ Who has the craziest exes?
Neither of us are in touch with exes
♥ Who has the worse temper?
I get really stressed over little things and take it out on him

♥ Who does the cooking?
I do, he does the eating (and the dishes!)
♥ Who is more social?
We are about the same and love it about each other
♥ Who is the neat-freak?
Ha! Definitely me, so much to organize right now too
♥ Who is the more stubborn?
Me without a doubt, what have I done to deserve him?
♥ Who hogs the bed?
Geez, I do, I'm sensing a pattern!

♥ Who wakes up earlier?
Charlie gets up earlier, I wake up a few times and stay in bed as late as possible

♥ Where was your first date?
Ferraros Italian restaurant and then a helicopter ride along the strip

♥ Who has the bigger family?
Charlie.

♥ Do you get flowers often
via text message emoticons (he also sends me animals and stuff that way)

♥ How do you spend the holidays?
Odge killed the Easter bunny!

 Who is more jealous?
I think we've only had one night where this came up and it was Charlie, but it was resolved that night

♥ How long did it take to get serious?
A little less than a month
♥ Who eats more?
Always the boy
♥ Who does/ did the laundry?
Welllllll, right now it's neither of us. But when we move into the new house it will be me :-)
♥ Who’s better with the computer?
Definitely Charlie! Computer science degree!

♥ Who drives when you are together?
Always Charlie, even if we take my car

Resolutions

Okay, took a hiatus from blogging! I saw that I posted resolutions last year and most of them came true, so decided to do that again this year. I'm not carrying any over purposefully from last year, but just coming up with original ones, if some are repeats, I guess I'll really bust my ass for them this year!

1. Improve my spelling in Hebrew and ability to have intellectual conversations fluidly.
2. Run a half marathon.
3. Do as much of my pre-reqs for masters as I can (don't want to say finish because it might take longer).
4. Be even better about lesson plans and assignments: always be at least 3 lessons ahead for every class, and never wait more than two days to start grading assignments unless it's a weekend.
5. Visit three new places (US or international)
6. Start flossing again. I know this was a resolution last year, and I did it very well for a while, and then stopped.
7. Be better about making appointments for donating blood. I could donate more often if I did this because half the time I call and they are totally booked. While we're on this, motivate 3 non-regular donors to come with me at least once each.
8. Drink less soda and even more water. Coffee still okay, but tea after 4 pm.
9. Maintain not being addicted to my phone.
10. Find a restaurant in Vegas to recreationally cook at (need to find chefs that will humor me). Can't fly to Raleigh every time I have an itching for some restaurant prep!
11. Make my parents proud.
12. Make my sister proud.
13. Stay up to date with my autism knowledge and volunteer w/FEAT or like organization at least 2 times this year, even though I am no longer doing therapy/consulting.
14. Laugh HARD every day.
15. Maintain behavioral principles in classroom management - don't be hypocritical and stand by my values, even though at times punishment/yelling seems so tasty.
16. Maintain behavioral principles in personal relationships - especially giving positive reinforcement/feedback sporadically!
17. Get more involved in Delta Gamma alumni community service - help this local chapter find visually impaired people for us to help run errands, or the like.
18. Play piano again. Haven't decided if I want to tackle learning a new piece (it would probably be 3rd movement of Beethoven's moonlight sonata), or just to re-perfect all my old pieces. Okay - start w/re-perfecting all old pieces, then decide :-P
19. Change my jewelry move often. Rings are okay, but I have so many cute earrings, and many non-heart necklaces I should show off! Okay, I'm still allowed to wear heart necklaces, but not every day!
20. My OCD is making me have 20 and not 19....AH! Oh, I know! Split my time between listening to country/npr more equally and randomly, so I don't always hear the same NPR shows but have variety.

my resolutions

1. Drink more water when I'm home to waste less plastic
2. Walk Odge more
3. When speaking to people, not to overtalk - they don't need to know every detail. But meanwhile maintain my personality.
4. Use my ear piece when driving. and don't text unless at red lights.
5. Floss. And while we're on the subject of teeth, brush Odge's teeth at least once a week.
6. File my paperwork quicker - don't let it sit on my desk for a while and then do it.
7. Eat less sodium and less white starches.
8. Continue to read for pleasure. At least 1.5 books a month, but can be less if I'm reading a therapy manual.
9. Continue to be responsible about my sleep schedule.
10. Go out more!! I'm young!
11. Use the principles I use in therapy on myself to train myself to run  3 miles without stopping.
12. Take my vitamins and fish oil every day. Maintain my iron levels high enough so that I can donate blood 6 times this year (every two months), unless rejected for non-iron related reasons (fever, low blood pressure, etc). On the blood topic, encourage at least 2 people to donate this year, and hopefully encourage them to become regular donors.
13. Pack in a more organized fashion and not put it off to the last minute when I go on trips.
14. Learn more sign language.
15. Complete Sara and Lauren's manual from this summer. This is an inside joke but the Resolution is not a joke.
